The core characteristic of PEEK material is the foundation for achieving high performance in turning parts. Compared with ordinary engineering plastics and even some metals, its performance in key performance dimensions brings significant competitive advantages to parts, and it can perfectly present the material potential through turning processing. ​


Outstanding high temperature resistance and adaptability to harsh working conditions: PEEK has a high glass transition temperature (143 ℃) and melting point (334 ℃), with a long-term use temperature of up to 260 ℃, an instantaneous use temperature of up to 300 ℃, and a load heat deformation temperature of up to 316 ℃, far exceeding the temperature limit of ordinary engineering plastics. The parts processed by turning can work stably under high temperature conditions such as automotive engine compartments and high-temperature transmission systems, without softening, deformation, or performance degradation, greatly improving the service life and reliability of the parts, especially suitable for manufacturing core components such as wear-resistant gaskets for automotive engine transmissions, solenoid valve cores, and shaft sleeves in high temperature environments.

High processing accuracy and good detail formability: Turning machining relies on high-precision machine tools and precise CNC systems, which can achieve micrometer level processing accuracy. It can accurately process complex structures such as outer circles, inner holes, threads, grooves, etc. of PEEK parts, and has high surface smoothness. After optimizing process parameters (such as using a cutting speed of 150m/min), extremely low surface roughness can be obtained, without the need for additional post-treatment processes such as polishing, reducing the processing flow, while ensuring the flatness and smoothness of the part surface, avoiding the impact of surface defects on the sealing and transmission performance of the part. For complex and finely sized parts such as automotive precision valve cores and micro bearings, turning machining can perfectly meet design requirements and ensure the performance of the parts.
